Comedy legend Chris Rock is getting ready for his comedy live special on Netflix. The streaming platform announced late last year that comedy legend and actor Rock will be the first comedian to appear at the streamer’s live-streaming event. According to the company Rock’s live comedy special is set to stream in early on the 4rd of March 2023. Rock shared a video on his instagram page that shows that his getting ready to go LIVE.
“Chris Rock is one of the most iconic and important comedic voices of our generation,” Robbie Praw, Netflix vice president of Stand-up and Comedy Formats, said in a statement.
“We’re thrilled the entire world will be able to experience a live Chris Rock comedy event and be a part of Netflix history. This will be an unforgettable moment, and we’re so honoured that Chris is carrying this torch,” adds Praw.
Apparently, during a show in London, the comedian told the audience, “People expect me to talk about the bull****, I’m not going to talk about it right now. I’ll get to it eventually, on Netflix,” Deadline reported.
The streaming service picked Rock to appear on its first-ever Livestream knowing for a fact that people will be keen to watch hoping that he can touch on the Oscars clap he had on stage from disgraced Will Smith.
