THE INTRO: SA comedy pioneer & star Loyiso Gola shares the albums that shaped him
BEST MUSIC FOR A SATURDAY NIGHT: Saturday night is a very specific day, so I think it’s has to be any hip hop song that’s number on the charts. Those songs get a party started and elevate your mood to another level.
ALBUM THAT NEVER GETS BORING: It has to be D’Angelo’s second album – Voodoo, great piece of work and timeless. I think is one of D’Angelo’s best album of all time, even if you play it today still sound fresh as if it was produced yesterday or today for that matter.
BEST HIP-HOP ALBUM OF ALL TIME: Snoop Doggy Dogg – Doggy-style just a perfect album and it reflect Snoop’s wild side while was still young and growing up in Long-beach, Los Angels.
THE ALBUMS THAT HAD THE BIGGEST IMPACT ON ME: Stevie Wonder- Songs in the key of life. The best songwriter of our generation, doing his best work.
ALBUM I WISH I’D MADE: Outkast- Aquemini, their third studio album it reaches the perfect plateau of musical but doesn’t reach Flying Lotus levels of out there. Palatable, Andre 3000 rapped like his depended on it. I wish they group can get back together and give us another album, they still have more to offer their fans.
