South African Comedy godfather, legend and the man who gave a break to a lot of people in Mzansi the likes of Trevor Noah, Eugene Khoza, the late Vuyo Jiya, Pele Pele, our founder and CEO Rethabile Mohlala, the list goes on Kedidone Molaudzi opened a dedicated Comedy Club called Comedy Market in Fourways, Johannesburg.
In a social media post Kedibone wrote: “So I am proud to announce the newborn in the family after 9 months in the making. The Comedy Market SA is a comedy club (based at 60 Turaco Street, Fourways within Monte La Vue Boutique Hotel & Apartments) we have been working on for the past years, and it’s finally here. A full-time comedy space that has comedy shows from Thursday to Sunday (with Sunday being added in the near future.) Shows start at 8pm. Dinner from 18:30. Tickets for all shows are Computicket or at the door. Come support what was once a thought, then an idea, and now a reality.”
