Several South African comedians recorded their comedy specials in partnership with DSTV Mzansi Magic but such content is not available on Catch Up or their respective tv channels. Having said that and given the current state of affairs in the country and Covid-19, one would expect such content to be available across their TV channels for people and comedy super fans to binge, while the majority of the country is still in Lockdown. Since there’s a shortage of content on TV at the moment, this provides a great opportunity for some of those comedians to be heard and seen by their followers and die-hard fans. We know that you might be pushing people to go to ShowMax, but that service comes with an extra cost and now is not the right time to milk our people. DSTV management or whoever is in charge of programming please do the right thing for the benefit of SA comedy.
