Bill Cosby appears to have been keeping things positive while serving his current sentence involving sexual assault. The comedy legend who built his career off being a positive role model is reportedly trying to help increase the health of inmates at the prison he’s in. Reports confirm that after seeing the current health condition of a number of inmates, Cosby is using his influence to create better food options for the inmates.
Bill Cosby is currently behind bars for sexual assault, but it sounds like he’s using his time in the slammer wisely. The 81-year-old is reportedly helping other inmates, or “residents” as he likes to call them, and even prison employees on matters like food, health, and staying out of trouble. New York Amsterdam News Opens a New Window. reports that his longtime publicist, Andrew Wyatt — who visited with the comedian over Thanksgiving — said, “Mr. Cosby has regular and in-depth discussions about getting better nutrition for the residents and getting them on natural supplements because the residents and officers have major health problems.” He continued, “Every morning a message comes over telling residents to line up for their insulin shots. These are young — 20, 30, and 40-year-old — men.” Wyatt added that Cosby is “so concerned with the high obesity rate, not just with the residents, but the officers because they’re having to survive off of the prison food, too.
