Comedian, actor, producer and TV presenter Thomas Gumede, through his production company Black TV, is taking his work to the world via a deal with Emmy award-winning content studio and global distribution company GRB Studios.
Gumede has been in the entertainment industry for well over a decade and has acted in shows such as A Place Called Home, Bay of Plenty, City Ses’la and Home Affairs. He also presented the Mzansi Magic show Love Back and helped former lovers rekindle their failed relationships.
He appeared on reality show Forever Young for three seasons alongside friends Lungile Radu and Siyabonga Ngwekazi. The trio co-owned Parental Advisory Productions, which produced the reality show, as well as Love Back and popular dating show Uyang’thanda Na.
In an interview with TimesLive, Gumede said: “This is a deal for all of Africa, something we can all celebrate. It is a global deal. We will be able to deliver to the whole continent and beyond that.”
Amid a flurry of congratulatory tweets on Twitter, Gumede said: “The hard work begins now.”
