The South African comedian and author Trevor Noah gets two nods at the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People) Image Awards. The Daily Show host is nominated for Outstanding Talk Series and Outstanding Host in a Talk or News/Information (Series or Special) – Individual or Ensemble.
Noah, who recently bagged his first Emmy, is up against Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Real in the Outstanding Talk Series category. In September, The Daily Show with Trevoh Noah, won a Creative Emmy Award in the Short Form Variety Series for his Youtube show Between the Scenes.
The 49th NAACP Image Awards ceremony is set to take place on January 15 in the US. This is the second year running that Noah has been nominated for the NAACP awards. In 2016 the talk show host walked away with two gongs from two NAACP Awards.>
