Just when you thought Noah’s life couldn’t get any better, he has hit us with the news that he’s being featured in Jay-Z’s new short documentary Footnotes: The Story of OJ.
The documentary was released with the rapper’s latest album 4:44 and features entertainment heavyweights likes Chris Rock, Will Smith and other black men who speak out about their experiences of racism in the USA.
Noah revealed the news in an interview with Metro FM last week, saying that he had received a phone call from the legendary rapper’s representatives asking about his availability to appear in the documentary.
The documentary is available exclusively to subscribers of Jay-Z’s online streaming service Tidal.
Noah described it as “one of those things that come out of nowhere” and a once-in-a- lifetime opportunity that he jumped on immediately.
“Imagine you go from a world where you were just listening to Jay-Z and then Jay-Z asks you to be on his album. Jay-Z is asking you to be part of this story that he’s trying to tell on this album,” he said during the interview.
“So I jumped on it, of course. Then on top of that, I watched the video and there’s Will Smith and Chris Rock. I can’t even believe I am in the same frame as these people. I don’t take it for granted.”
