It’s graduation season again and as our timelines get filled with graduation gowns and people celebrating yet another milestone in their lives, one person we’re excited to see gratduate is Loyiso Gola’s mom.
Loyiso expressed how proud he is of his mom who has recently graduated from the University of the Western Cape.
He also shared how much of a straight-A student his mother was and how much she had always wanted to further her studies in varsity.
“So 4 years ago my mom retired after 26 years of working at the bank and went back to school.
She had always wanted to go to university. She was a straight A student who was born to an apartheid system that blocked her progress.
“She raised me and my bro @lazgola by herself. TODAY SHE GRADUATES FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF THE WESTERN CAPE AT AGE 58. Kinda sad I was not there to witness this moment. NEVER EVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS. So proud of her.”
Congratulations to Loyiso’s mom what an inspiring moment for all of us who are working towards our dreams.
