Has Pearl Thusi settled her beef with Trevor Noah?

It seems like Pearl Thusi may be ready to leave her ‘dislike’ for Trevor Noah in 2015.

Most fans were shocked to learn last year that Pearl Thusi was not a fan of Trevor Noah, describing him to her fans as “a guy I don’t really like.”

But it seems that Pearl’s feelings towards her fellow countryman may have changed.

Talking to fans in a Facebook Live chat recently, Pearl was asked if she would visit Trevor now that both of them are based in the US.

After a brief moment of silence, Pearl responded by suggesting that she would- even if it’s just to support him as a fellow South African.

“Yes. I will go see Trevor. I will always support a South African,” she told fans.

And while the pair might not be besties just yet, her response is at least an improvement on what she had previously said about Trevor.

In an interview with Gareth Cliff on CliffCentral late last year, Pearl opened up about her dislike for Trevor and suggested that the comedian may have an ‘ego.’

“He’s dated a girl I know and I didn’t like what she had to say. Uhm, he’s very like ‘we’re at a table, I’m gonna take over’ you know, ‘I’m most famous type thing’. There’s that thing, you know, it’s unsaid but it’s there. Maybe I’m just being insecure, maybe it’s that. But he’s very like, ‘I’m Trevor Noah, I’m smart, I’m clever, I’m whatever’ and you’ll be there with people who are his friends and he’s like ‘I’m not interested in you’,” Pearl said.

She went on to recount an experience where she and some friends bumped into Trevor Noah in Cape Town and the comedian did not even acknowledge that they were there.

“I was like ‘this is it, I’m done with this guy,'” Pearl said of the experience.
