SCHALK BEZUIDENHOUT SCORES IN JULY EDITION OF COMEDY CENTRAL’S “ROAST BATTLE”

Last night, quirky dresser and Afrikaans comic Schalk Bezuidenhout won the latest instalment of Comedy Central Roast Battle, Comedy Central’s gladiatorial “speed roasting” comedy event.

After he engaged in an unarmed combat with fellow comedians Jason Goliath, Mark Banks, Deep Fried Man, Mojak Lehoko, and Tumi Morake, Bezuidehout attained comedy glory with a deadly armoury of killer insults, deadly one-liners and wounding witticisms.

A triumphant Bezuidenhout lifted the winner’s trophy after a tense duel with Mark Banks and joins previous heat winners Richlieu Beaunoir and Dillon Oliphant in the Roast Battle grand final later in 2016.

Comedy Central’s Roast Battle will premiere exclusively on Comedy Central (DStv channel 122) later in the year.
