If you haven’t heard from Trevor Gumbi for a while, it might be time to do a bit of self-reflection.
Like that time you went on Facebook to clean up your friends list, Trevor Gumbi is doing a spot of friend spring cleaning.
The comedian took to Instagram this week to write an open letter to all of the friends he has chosen to get rid of, including those people who are fake and low-key hating on each other.
‘Friends’ goodbye, all y’all off the team. I’m sorry, but we can’t keep riding this cycle, none of us are progressing and we need to break it NOW, for all of our sakes. I personally need a Triple B (Better Batch of Buds). Let’s all focus on what is really important to OURSELVES and find that happiness,” he wrote.
He went on to suggest that he and these friends “set each other free” and that they focus on success and not on “low-key hating.”
“Let’s start hanging with people who inspire us and people who are WAY more successful than us, trust, it’ll rub off on you,” he suggested.
But if you are still getting messages from the comedian, then you will know you’re safe. You see, he says that he is still communicating with his real friends.
“Good luck guys. See you at the top, if not, I’ll visit once a year. Don’t worry, I’ll know where to find you, ‘Where ?!’ you ask, well, same place your unmotivated ass is right now !” he added to those he left behind.
