The new crop of South African comedians is taking their careers seriously, as most of them started investing in themselves by registering their URLs or websites. As a comedy connoisseur, this is a new phenomenon and it makes me happy to see them owning their digital platforms/homes as it happening across the board.
Just to offtrack a little bit, I wish the same-thing can be set about the South African music industry. I remember during my radio days, while still on radio full-time, I used to struggle to get information about SA musicians and now I’m happy that our comedy industry is leading the way.
