Who knew talking could pay your bills? Well this week, FORBES reminded us all that some of the wealthiest entertainers are talk show host. Steve Harvey and Ellen Degeneres represented for comedians on the 2017 list of highest paid talk show host. Dr. Phil took the top spot with $79 Million for his show.

Forbes released their annual highest paid talk show host list, and two comedians made the top ten. Dr. Phil may have grabbed the top spot, earning 79 million last year, but EllenDeGeneres is hot on his heels, possibly boosted by an unspecified payment from Netflix for a brand new hour stand up special. It will be her first time performing stand up in 15 years and it wouldn’t be shocking to imagine Netflix paid the daytime diva somewhere around the $40 million paid to Chris Rock in order to entice her back on stage. With 42 million earned, Steve Harvey comes in at number six thanks largely to Family Feud but also hosting Miss Universe and a few other projects.
