Comedy is no longer just comedy; it’s part and parcel of life and pop culture. Almost three weeks after Comedy legend Chris Rock dropped ‘Selective Outrage’, the comedy special comedy fans and news media are still talking about it. It’s fair to say Rock cut too deep with the Selective Outrage comedy special, it made a lot of people lose their mind while some are calling for Rock’s head, indeed this is selective outage.
Broadcasting legend Roland Martin in one of his television shows and streaming service he came into a defence of Rock and other comedians. Martin said ‘Selective Outrage’ is just another show and Chris achieved his objective to poke fun, make people laugh and think deep so what’s the big deal all about, it’s comedy.
“Chris Rock’s Netflix special, ‘Selective Outrage.’ This was the first time he spoke publicly about the slap heard around the globe during last year’s Oscars. The trending special is the first comedy unique Rock has had in five years and is reportedly part of a $40 million deal he made with Netflix for two stand-up specials.”
