According to Vlad TV reports, Chris Rock’s upcoming standup comedy tour has seen a spike in ticket sales following the controversial slap Rock found himself on the receiving end of during Sunday’s Oscars.
Variety noted that secondary ticket purchasing site TickPick reported a doubling in ticket sales for Rock’s tour after the slap went viral. To put it in perspective, TickPick says they sold more tickets last night for the tour than they had the entire month.
Chris Rock tweeted: Ego Death World Tour 2022 all new material introspective very personal and very funny . Can’t wait to show you. The link for tickets is in my bio.
The site added that tickets sales on the secondary market have jumped over 200 percent from $46 per ticket to $341. The 30-city tour is set to begin April 2 and will wrap in November at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, CA where the slap heard around the world took place.
