Many of us enjoy making our parents proud but it is equally satisfying when our parents make us proud and comedian, Loyiso Gola cannot be more proud of his mother.
Taking to his Twitter page to celebrate his mother, the former Late Nite News with Loyiso Gola host revealed that his 58-year-old mother would be attaining an honors degree after quitting her job of 26 years to further her studies.
“My mom who quit her job of 26 years to go back to University and graduated at age 58. Last year she studied further and attained her honors,” he wrote before revealing how he would not be attending the graduation ceremony due to gigs he would be performing at in New York close to the graduation ceremony.

Although the comedian will not get to see his mother’s big moment, this did not stop the Gola family from playing pretend and having a pretend graduation ceremony where Loyiso’s mom rocked her graduation gown.
“So this past Saturday I went home to Cape Town and we had a pretend ceremony at the house. She put on the gown and we went out for a bonanza of a lunch. So if you are in NYC please come to my show. I am proud of her. She plans to study further. THE END. Never ever give up!”
