Trevor Noah has responded to questions about the ANC’s leadership in South Africa by warning that the party will lose voters if it fails to serve its people properly.
The SA-born comedian opened up to Al Jazeera about his upbringing and South African politics.
The Daily Show host was asked if he thought the ANC still represented the people of South Africa, and responded by saying the ANC needed to understand its role as the governing party in South Africa.
He further warned that if the ANC forgot that they were “the party of the people,” the people would leave them.

Later this year, Trevor will perform at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg on August 10 & 11. The show will feature all-new material, and focus on how his life has changed since taking over as host of The Daily Show in America.
“I am coming back home to do a show – not because Donald Trump has kicked me out, but because I would like to do a show for you. New jokes, new show, special guests โ see you there,” Trevor said.

Dillon Khan, senior channel director Comedy Central Africa, says, “This is stand-up comedy on a scale never seen from a local comedian in this country, and by far the biggest must watch stand-up comedy event of the year. Trevor Noah has sold out every local comedy tour he has done in South Africa since 2010 and we have no doubt that the same thing will happen at The TicketPro Dome this August.”
Ryan Harduth, show producer, says, โWeโre going all out from a production standpoint to create the best comedy experience The TicketPro Dome has ever seen. We will be showcasing local and international opening acts to support Trevor, and weโre incredibly excited to share this show with our audiences.โ
Tickets for Trevor Noah Live at the Dome go on sale via Ticketpro from February 20 priced from R300.
