Taking some times off from your career can be a good thing or a bad thing especially in the creative industry such as comedy. Some comedians become rusty while some become even more sharper than a knife. I can think of two comic legends Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle, they both went off the stage for a little while but now they’re back in the game dominating comedy scene across different platforms.
Coming back home, after taking a long sabbatical from comedy stage while he was busy with Nedbank TV and Radio commercials, Eugene Khoza is planning a come back into comedy circuit with a couple of shows in the works. Eugene’s one man show is lined up for the 14 December at the Atterbury Theatre in Pretoria Tshwane and 15 December at The Lyric Theatre at the Gold Reef City, Johannesburg. The Mamelodi township born comedian promised to give his fans a great show come this festive season at both locations. Speaking to NoJokesComedy network, Eugene said the preparation is coming well and his enjoying every second of it.
His booking manager Zama Mulaudzi says as Eugene continues to build on his creative ability and comedic talent. He is returning to the stage to perform his new one man comedy show. More collected in his thoughts and even more precise in his comedy, his loyal followers and fans will find a new angle to Eugene`s comedy this time around.
His manager (Zama) went on by saying his new fans will feel right at home with his comedy. Zama says the press release could go on and on and on singing the past praises of Eugene and what a great guy he is ..blah blah blah But it wont. So, a simple final summary Eugene Khoza is one of SAs most loved comedic talents and if you are a fan of comedy you do need to see him perform come December, she says.
